Centurion Mk.5

by Serge Dompierre

This is my Tamiya 1/35 scale Centurion Mk.5 converted from an old Tamiya Centurion MK3 by making the following modifications:

adding new gunner's periscope,

new smoke extractor on main gun,

removing all molded handles and replacing them
with fine copper wire,

removed rear turret escape hatch and finally

engraved new design on tools boxes.

The model was painted using a Testor's Model Master paint mix of my own to obtain camouflage colors used by Canadian Armed Forces.

The model represent a Centurion Mk.5 of Royal Canadian Dragoons of C (Charlie) company, 2th platoon in exercises at Solteau near Hamburg in Germany 1958.
